새해가 되면 흔히 하는 다짐 중 하나, 바로 영어공부하기입니다. 저 또한 새해를 맞이하여 또다시 영어를 공부하고자 하는데요. 이왕 하는 거 재미있게 할 방법이 없을까 고민하던 중 발견한 것이 있습니다. 네이버 웹툰이 미국에서도 서비스를 하고 있다는 사실 알고 계셨나요? 오늘은 네이버 웹툰의 미국판, 라인웹툰에 대해 소개하겠습니다.

라인웹툰(2019년 '웹툰'으로 이름이 변경되었습니다)은 네이버에서 제공하는 공식 웹툰 사이트로 한국 네이버 웹툰에서 서비스하는 웹툰작품들을 외국어로 번역 하여 제공하는 웹툰 플랫폼입니다. 

 

2014년 미국에서의 서비스를 시작으로 현재는 일본어, 중국어, 태국어 , 스페인어, 등 다양한 나라의 언어로 서비스 중인데요. 처음에는 한국 웹툰을 번역하여 서비스하다가 현재는 자체적으로 미국 현지 오리지널 작품들도 많이 늘어나습니다. 현재 네이버 웹툰에서 연재 중인 [로어 올림푸스]가 라인웹툰의 오리지널 웹툰입니다. 

 

라인웹툰은 한국의 네이버웹툰 어플이 아니라 자체적인 어플이 따로 있는데요. 아쉽게도 한국에서는 다운로드할 수 없습니다. 웹툰을 보고 싶다면 아래 사이트를 방문하시면 됩니다.

인기가 많아 넷플릭스 드라마로 제작된 웹툰입니다. 한국의 '베스트 도전' 같은 코너인 CANVAS에서 연재되던 웹툰입니다. 영국 고등학교를 배경으로 두 학생의 로맨스를 다룬 내용인데요. 일상적인 대화가 많이 나와 공부용으로 좋습니다.
